Title: Staryards down?
Post by: Norsehound on October 02, 2007, 10:11:35 pm
Just tried going over to Staryards to grab a replacement for the D5... but apparently it doesn't exist anymore!

This so, or am I hallucinating?

Welcome to staryards.com !

This is a place-holder for the staryards.com home page.

Yes the Staryards does appear to be down.

I wonder if Cleeve pulled it down after his forums there had people posting pornography there....

Mere legends?  Rule 34

I've seen it.

I still have nightmares.

And not just because I'm gay; the Chakoty/Janeway photoshops are Lovcraftian in their horror.

Hi dudes,

Not sure what's up with the staryards. i'll call my ISP, I never took it down and I sure as heck didn't let the domain lapse or anything...

People are posting porn to my forums? Ugh. Time to drop those forums, I don't think anyone is using them legitimitely anyway...

Thanks Cleeve!

If I may, will you be updating your site soon? Seems there are vacancies in places... 'specially TOS Roms.

Hmm... it seems that the main page is down still.

BattleClinc is nice for a large download storage center.

Unfortuantly it got a bad rep from ppl uploading models without premissions from the orginal owners, or bad/missing credits. This has caused the problem now when sites are gone so are the models from them, which is a pity as allot of ships have been lost from this.

The Down side to a large storage area is that there are allot of duplicate ships there as well.

But either way it would worse to lose it.

I've noticed that a lot of website are down or on / off  due to the weather affecting the internet and phone connaction in the USand Canada.

I tried to log into the Star Trek  Guardian ship schematic site, which is offline, along with a few others.

Mare Imbrium
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mare_Imbrium

Mare Imbrium, Latin for "Sea of Showers" or "Sea of Rains", is a vast lunar mare (mahr'-ay) filling a basin on Earth's Moon.
I always thought that for a desolate body like the Moon, "Sea of Rains" was probably *the* coolest name for any of the Mare on the Moon.  :)

Lunar Mare:
1. Oceanus Procellarum    2. Mare Imbrium    3. Mare Cognitum    4. Mare Humorum
5. Mare Nubium    6. Mare Frigoris    7. Mare Serenitatis    8. Mare Vaporum
9. Mare Tranquillitatis    10. Mare Nectaris    11. Mare Humboldtianum    12. Mare Crisium
13. Mare Fecunditatis    14. Mare Marginis    15. Mare Smythii    16. Mare Australe
17. Mare Moscoviense    18. Mare Ingenii    19. Mare Orientale

(just so you know).  ;)

The site is still up (although I've not updated it in a while), but I think the redirector itself is dead.  :p
(just fixed that, redirector is back up)

Anyways, here's the links to what's up...

The Outalance page
http://outalance.battleclinic.com/Atheorhaven/

My main site
http://mareimbrium.webhop.net

which is shorter than
http://outalance.battleclinic.com/atheorhaven/html/_sgg/f10000.htm

Also a good chunk of stuff is on Battleclinic these days (although it doesn't show all of it in a search, like the texture work on MP's  TravelPod)..
