Title: Forwarding Ports
Post by: Tulwar on December 08, 2007, 01:44:43 am
Somebody posted directions to manually forward ports for SFC.  I can get into my router, but Port Forward (useless waste of $30.00) can't.  Now I can't find the page.  For the first time in years I'll be able to play online if, BIG IF, I can just crack this nut. :banghead:  Perhaps someone can simplify the directions as well.  Should be a sticky.

Once you know the IP of your computer on your LAN, ipconfig /all.  You can set your port forwarding to that address.  You need to forward two sets of ports 47624 and 2300-2400.  I will warn you to check your DSL/Cable Modem.  If you are conecting through a router, you need to set your modem on bridge mode.

You can also set your computer in a DMZ while you play, but this results in reduced security to your computer from outside intrusion.

Use portforward.com for reference if you need any.
