Title: How do you reset the size of windows that are linked to a new page?
Post by: IndyShark on January 05, 2008, 09:44:10 am
For some reason, my computer has reset the size of new windows when I click on a link to a very small box. I can't see to reset it to a full sized window. I have tried stretching it to full size and maximizing it, but it keeps coming with the same small box.

Is there a setting or trick to fix this? Thanks all. This is really bugging me!

Try adjusting the window size to the size you want it to be and then hold the control key down while closing the window.

I tried that and it didn't work.

I used to be able to stretch it, expand it and close it and it would stay that way. Not anymore. I wonder what changed...........

I.E. windows remember the size they were when the last window is closed.  So open only one IE window, switch it out of full-screen mode, adjust it to the size you want it and then close it.

This will work unless there's something else interfering with the default Windows settings.

Thanks I seemed to have fixed it. I think multiple windows confused it. A reboot helped too
