Nice work, AV. My only suggestion is that you might consider making the sensor dish parallel to the horizontal, rather than having the slight downward angle it has now.

the warp engine should be smaller because it look like a V2 rocket and it also remind me of that image :)

Actually the model very closely matches Atolm's sketches, however I did cheat a bit on the nacelle. I use the one from the asymmetric ship design of his I'm doing resized and rescaled.

As for the fighter itself, I rather prefer it without the nacelle all together. It seems it would make a good pre-TOS planetary launched craft use atmospheric and non-atmospheric engagements.

I agree it does look more like a WW II German plane then it does a star fighter.

AV - I like it -- A LOT! I do have one suggestions though (actually two...)

First - I know you are trying to stay true to Atolm's design, and I really admire that, however, could you do a version with a smaller nacelle - and mount it on top vs. the bottom. I'm a pilot in real life and I think landing this thing on any planetary surface might be problematic with the nacelle on the bottom. If the landing gear (or anti-grav pads) malfunctioned she'd be hell to land even on a prepared surface. Something would break unless she had tractor beam support from a mothership or ground station -- which could be an issue in combat. If you want I can help with that version. My bashing is getting better.

Second - Asymmetric Atolm mesh in the works? Ya' gotta show us! I think I know the sketch you're talking about but I'm dying to know! With these little babies on board she'd be formidable. Maybe she'd a good entry for the Darker Projects 1701F design contest - retro yet modern and can't beat Atolm's originality.  Especially when combined with good modelling and meshing skills like yours.

My back is out again and since my physical therapy is done for the day I'm going to the medicine cabinet for some better life through pharmacology.... :D

Nice work and thanks for sharing.

I always felt that TOS era fighters or smaller craft would be more akin to LATE WWII to present day airframes since they would be endo/exo craft anyway.

Looks interesting...
