in sg1 vala was a goa'uld
how did she lose here symbiont?
since she was a Egyptians goddess how come she's speak English?, Apophis speak Hebrew (or what ever the host speak) when the symbiont was dead
so about her father was what?, vala was a goa'uld for a long time, so it seem a bit weird that her father still alive and she seem not that ancient.

The Gou'ld that was in Vala would have been ancient, but Vala as an individual may not have been used as a host for that long a time.
It states in an epidode that the Tokra removed the Symbiont from Vala. I can't remember if Vala as Gould was overthrown by a popular uprising or if it was something instigated by the Tokra.

In one episode Vala told how her own village people rejected her once the goa'uld was removed. The way it was phrased it made it appear that they should have known her but still rejected her because of what Qe'tesh did. That would make it appear she was only a host for a short time.
I can't say for sure but as I recall the To'kra were behind the over throw but I don't recall if the locals took part or were passive bystanders
One of the novels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate_literature#The_Fandemonium_novels) had SG-1 find that the Stargates can be used to impart knowledge of the local language to you when traveling through it. It didn't handle the goa'uld language obviously as Jack never did learn much beyond "Jaffa KREE!". Possibly the gate only worked on human or close to human brains like the Nox.
