Title: Notice on AOTK4 Beta Installer

Uninstall of the AOTK4 Beta installer will remove your Shiplist, frtlist and Model.siz files and the ED scripts and the NW scripts.. You will probably have to manually restore them..

I am about to put up a complete installer that will install and uninstall correctly that will keep your game in original condition after uninstall.


When uploaded, I will post link both in this thread and in the Rules thread.. Please mirror and post link back if possible

OK.. Current installer is now

http://warpcore.110mb.com/Downloads/AOTK4.zip

Unzip and run the exe file to install.

This will install clean and uninstall clean.

On Uninstall (uninstall.exe in the Starfleet Command Orion Pirates folder), if the dos window prompts you to change a file.. type Y and hit enter.

For those of you who already installed AOTK Beta, all you need to do to "repair" your game after uninstall is re-install OP+

Hmmm...something wrong with the installer?

It says no files to extract...

It is zipped up using no compression.. used Winzip 11.1 to create zip file.. let me recheck and make sure the zip is valid.

Edit.. It downloaded and extracted fine in Winzip and Winrar. Windows native extraction should work as well.

Try downloading with AV turned off.

Ok...working this time...first couple times I tried to DL it..it said it was 2.2 Mb...the current try is correct size..

Opens and runs A-OK....

Ok...that's wierd...it opens and runs fine....does it's thing...and when I try and log in...I get bad ftr list and a bunch of scripts CRC...

How many installs of OP do you have?

which one does your OP shortcut point to?

On the installer.. did you let the DOS window close by itself or did you close it?

If you closed the DOS window.. you will need to re-run the installer and let the DOS window finish running.

Ah...it was the Dos window...I waited a few seconds....and closed it myself..

hey...I dont build em...I just fly em... ;D
