i have noticed that every time i've played the above mentioned games, that in the campaign mode, the intro info for each race states a rank specific to each race.
But in the campaign map, the rank is always Lt. Commander, regardless of the actual rank you should be. See examples below. Has anyone ever figured out how to fix this?
Hydran: Real rank: Sub Commander, In campaign mode rank: Lt Commander
ISC: Real rank: Lieutenant, In campaign mode rank: Lt Commander SIDE NOTE: ISC does not have a Lt Commander
Romulan: Real rank: Ante-Tribune, In campaign mode rank: Lt Commander
Mirak: Real rank: Sub-Commander, In campaign mode rank: Lt Commander

It is just the way the game is set up for gaining prestige that is what it is really for.It really has nothing to do with your accual rank. You can think about it this way as Klingons don't use the naval ranking system it is the army as they have Generals.I wouldn't pay much attention to it as it just for your prestige nothing else.

I know that i can just ignore it, but i was still hoping to see if anyone had found a fix for it anyways.

Also, keep in mind that the Campaign Rank system in SFC2 and OP is a little different then in Star Trek. SFC is based on many things from SFB, so some of the Ranks you see are either the closest to Star Trek Ranks or are based on what SFB's has in there catagories. As rmcin329 had pointed out, in Star Trek the Klingon Rank Structure is more like our Army Military, but in SFB, its a bit more like the Navy with some similarites to the Army.
but you are right, for game mechanics, its really not that important as all Empires have a rank simiar to a Lt. Commander for example, even if it doesn't totally corespond to Star Trek..
