It was you who did the sprite animation on a commodore, right? Here something to sink your teeth into: http://blogs.msdn.com/charlie/archive/2009/04/21/silverlight-animation-part-ii-sprites.aspx

Yep, that was me bro.. Hang on let me read this...
ok, two things here.
1: I need to get glasses I think.
2: I understood that, and could read along with it for once. Must be all that LUA code I've been working with lately.
That would have been a dream come true back then. Beats charting it out on graph paper, assigning the peeks and pokes based on bits, memory addresses etc.
Thanks man.

oh damn, yeah, remember having the graph paper out and figuring that out for doing graphics on my Apple II. Grrr, bad memories, bad memories. (but it was fun and made you go, look at this!!!!)

Man those where the good old days Marstone.
Sure our graphics where crap, but they gave you just enough to let your mind run wild. Of course having games with story ines helped quite a bit also. Shoot, remember the old Star Trek Text games? Promethian something, The Kobyashi alternative, etc. etc.
Fun times indeed.

For me it was Galactic Warzone and Barren Realms Elite (BRE) on the pre Internet BBS's. At times it was the messages between players that were the most fun. ;)
