Futurama is being resurrected on Comedy Central! They've ordered 26 new episodes! FOX can bite my shiny metal butt!! ;D

With the reruns and the couple of specials they have come out with the last few years it gave some hope of new episodes. I am kind of surprised that they are bringing it back though since I don't hear people talking about it like I do the Simpsons or Family Guy.

You know, it's such a mixed bag of feelings with FOX. In the first place, you'd have never even had all these really great shows that they pick up (and other networks probably wouldn't. Heck, just think about what we might be watching if FOX hadn't shaken things up all those ago). The problem is they dump them so fast, and in the case of many, don't get a chance or are horribly mishandled. I have to admit I'm a little surprised by this as well, although not totally thrown to the floor. I never got into Futurama much, although I know it had it's moments of brilliance. Still, like S'Raek said I don't hear 'people' talk about it, just the sort of low hum cult following on the net from time to time.
