Title: Taldren KDX stock OP ship rework

dropped the wings, cleaned up the over-embossing and retextured in 512, redid warps, insig, etc.

and the same for the KCX, she got a small bridge dome, otherwise same treatment.  I haven't done my light plate overlay on this yet.

Ive always wondered who did them at Taldren, they are not at all like the rest of the low poly stock ships.

Most of the other race X ships are pretty bad actually.  Pirates are OK I guess.

IIRC Cleeve (aka: Don Wolgroski [sp?]) was a guest modeller for the Klingon X-ships. Pneumonic 81 was the guest modeller who did the Fed X ships.

Heh, working on Taldren Stock is sort of my hobby.  Sometimes its drastic.  The X ships were not that bad, but the BB.. ohgawd.

To this day I have no clue just what that Barber Pole thing was supposed to be.

Klingon Academy came out after SFC1, but in KA, that barber pole thing housed an "assault phaser" - basically a ph-4 on huge steroids . . . if you fired it too much, the ship would have a breakdown and spin out of control.

I think Mace might be right there.  Klingon Accademy came out not too long after SFC1, and I think some of the models were incorperated in both games at design time. 

I do like that Klingon BB retexture there.  Much better then the stock model.   :)
Will these models be released on Battleclinic?

Will these models be released on Battleclinic?

The BB and the DNs will be up within a week for the new versions.   The old versions are there someplace as well.  I'm slowly redoing all my old work.
