Title: A Storm on the Horizon...
Post by: Atolm-Rising on February 04, 2010, 07:35:21 pm
TOS Battlecruiser, Haokah-Class, USS Red Cloud

Length: 460m

(the lightly drawn pods off of the nacelles are direct phasers, that may or may not be added to the design, at worse they get popped on the Terran Empire version)

I like.

Do you have a set of Staedtler pencils and art eraser or do you just use whatever is laying around?

These in particular being my favorite tools when I sketched:

Just teasing here C, but isn't this a tad symmetrical for you?  ;)

Like the looks of it as well..

Very interesting.

Norsehound: I would have to say aye, on that, but only in that I wanted something that would interesting against/with the Kelvin... But in reality it just fits my interpretation of Trek :)

Alec: LOL, not too badly so I'd say...lol , but I will say, this is one of the few of my more-than-two nacelled ships.  I usually opt one or two nacelles generally.
BTW: i haven't forgotten that Fed mobile dock... It's still on my mind, just got to pop out ideas as they come to me.

Bonk: I just use mechanical pencils of .05 thickness and No. 2B hardness.  In general i just use whatever I have laying around, as i refuse to spend a lot of $$$ on supplies, as I feel the "art world" is all about taking the artist for their $$$ lol

Rocket-Man: Thanks, as you already surmised after all these years, I try not to overdo the details on TOS ships, but rather fit just enough to make it work, and fit my ideology of Trek design :)

Intermech:  Thanks, I liked the way the nacelles came out as well :)

Starfox: Thnx, much appreciated.

Mudd: thnx, and she's posted up at your place too!

And thanks to all you lurkers out there, just nosy enough to take a look in :)

Another smokin' cool design. She does a good job of melding TOS style with the new JJ movie style. Thanks for sharing her Atolm.
