It'll be interesting to see if this makes it the whole 520 days.

Probably going to have to find some way to speed things up if they really want to try it in reality.

While being alone for an extended period of time is physically and emotionally draining, everyone needs their "alone" time.  Even the most gregarious amongst us need just a few minutes to themselves.  For 500 days to be in basically the same room with the same six people... I don't see it finishing.  Give them to opportunity to split off for even an hour, away from communications, away from each other.

heh maybe if the russians tried a mission to mars it would restart the space race from the cold war and the space program might actually go somewhere (erm no pun intended there)
