Specifically I hate how it won't download from iPod to computer. I understand, now after the purchase, that this is a feature, designed to keep purchased material from being spread to other computers. Would have been nice to see that prominently displayed on all the glossy advertisements, not discovered by reading through the manual after the buy.
So this is the problem... my son downloaded his videos from my wife's iTunes account on her Windows logon. He downloaded his apps by wireless. So now he can't sync with her account because it will wipe out the apps (since they weren't downloaded through her account). And he can't sync with his account on his logon since he got neither the videos or the apps that way.
So off to the internet to find the solution. The internet, where searching for iPod freeware leads to numerous "free download" trial versions of $39.95 programs. Where actual freeware is buried and none of it seems to actually work.
I'm just looking for a FREEWARE program that will download his videos and apps from his iPod Touch to his iTunes account on his logon on the computer, so that we can that synch to that one and go from them. Any suggestions?
(I've already tried GizmoRip, Videora iPod touch convertrer, AVCWare iPod to iPodComputer tunes converter, and YouTube Downloader (where every video fails to download and it suggests using a different service))

Why was he using two separate accounts on the device?

His first such device and didn't know any better. And I thought it would automatically synch as needed.

Hmmm,
Do you have a computer W/O Itunes on it?
connect and rip the files directly from his Ipod h/d.
Then burn them to DVD.
next, put DVD in computer with Itunes and drag and drop them into Itunes?
Note, I've only done this with the Ipod Classic, so not certain if it would work with the touch.
