Title: TRON: Uprising
Post by: Corbomite on June 09, 2015, 03:34:46 am
For anyone who never saw this or for those who would like to see it again or would like to DL it for free in excellent quality without having to sign up or anything (just right click and hit Copy Video As), here it is:

http://kisscartoon.me/Cartoon/TRON-Uprising (http://kisscartoon.me/Cartoon/TRON-Uprising)

It blows away the movies by about a hundred times and the visual design is nothing short of stunning. As usual, Disney didn't know how to market it and put it on a channel no adult watches, so they cancelled it without even announcing that they cancelled it. They never put it up for sale on DVD and most copies of it online are horrible quality. I don't know how this site is getting away with it, but I'm glad they finally are letting this out for keeps.

HAHAHA. Good lord that's funny.

Man this takes me back. 40+ years ago, I could just see it, Grandma, can Corbo come over and watch cartoons with me? still some of these and the DC ones that we have talked about have some great stories to them. I am not ashamed to like them.

My friends used to give me crap about watching "cartoons" until I explained to them the difference between cartoons and animation, and then I showed them Akira. Nobody said anything after that and I even had quite a few converts. Part of the problem that persists in getting good adult animation made and kept around (at least until the last few years) is this perception that no one over ten should be watching drawings move.

I hear ya, or they think it is all soft porn like the old Heavy Metal , although I've always liked Julia Strain from the sequel.  Have you seen the live action Battle Ship Yamamato ? (sp)

I remember seeing a clip years ago, but I forgot all about it.
