It depends on what type of blast and where it hits. If say a stardestroyers blast hits good ya by by Xwing but if say a Tie blast hits, shields should take care of most of the impact.
If i recall the only ships that didnt have shields were tie fighters and inteceptors. Even the old z95 head hunter had minamal sheilds.

You don't know much about Star Wars, do you? In A New Hope the fighters had all power diverted to forward shields so they had 200% power to forward shields and 0% to rear (so they could survive ONE hit from the capital-ship grade cannons on the Death Star's surface instead of dying in the first hit). So the TIE fighters shot them from behind, where the shields were down. In Return of the Jedi the X-wings had all shields up and did some SERIOUS damage.

I want that TIE x1 too. I can in turn give you TIE fighter, Interceptor, Bomber, Scimitar, Raptor, Phantom, and Defender...that enough TIE's for you? I can also get you the Y-wing (medium poly, this one was made by firehawk instead of converted from a low poly game, as well as all the other models except the Y-wing and one Star Destroyer model), K-wing (Black Fleet Crisis books- they carried 4 concussion missles and 1 plasma "egg", a powerful weapon designed for shield-bustin, but so large only one could be fitted per fighter), B-wing (heavy heavy heavy bomber, slow, powerful shields, 2 ion cannons, 3 laster cannons, 12 proton torpedoes, twice as many as X-wing), E-wing (fast attack fighter), A-wing, T-wing, Naboo Fighter, Naboo Bomber, Naboo Police craft, Old Republic Cruiser (the small one that was blown up at the beginning of Ep1), Corellian Corvette (100 meters long), and even the Sun Crusher if neccessary (20 meter long vessel with a crystalline quantum armor that is nearly INVINCIBLE short of being sucked in a black hole. We're talking about this thing getting sucked into a Gas Giant and coming right out, and ramming a Star Destroyer and coming out the other side. And it has torpedoes that can make a sun go unstable and explode). I know I have some other stuff you could use but i can't think of it.BTW why don't you include a large ship somewhere in the mod for fighters to gang and beat on?

lightsaber rocks, but personally i like the Force...instead of deflecting the blaster bolt, use the force to make the guy shooting at you shoot his buddy, then wrench the blaster from his grip
