Uninstall game using add/remove programs...
delete the SFC 3 folder out of the Program Files\Activision folder
Reinstall SFC 3, install Nemesis add on pack and then patch using the Beta Patch for your region (UK patch for any country outside US and Germany),
Use the Beta patch only, Do not use the SFC3DirectX9Fix Patch on top of Beta Patch.. this will cause errors like above..
Install or reinstall Direct X 9, do not install Direct X 8.1 on top of Direct X 9
Update Video card, sound card drivers from the chip manufacturer web site (NVidia, Soundblaster, Intel, Matrox, ATI, etc)
Try game again....

no didnt work:(
-
Just adding that the only thing i needed to do was to install dx9 and reinstall the game.
Patch made no difference
I keep all my drivers up to date
Anything else i can try???? any official taldren help?

really wanting to play this:( anyone.......?

Try going back to the previous set of catalist drivers or whichever the 2.* are... many seem to find those drivers work the best...
other than that, turn off all anti-virus/firewall software and reinstall the game again per the directions i put above.. Anti-Virus seems to have the effect of corrupting patch files..
Also try game before turning Anti-Virus/firewalls again....
make sure your firewall is configured correctly for GSA and per the Networking.rtf file included on the SFC 3 CD before re-enabeling it....
that is about all I can help, maybe someone else has some Ideas...

ill try rolling back my drivers although this will be a pain in the ass as unreal 2 doesnt like the 2.x drivers, but ill give it a go....
I usually disable anti v and firewall when installing anyways but thanks for the suggestion and your help:)
-
well by running it in comptibility mode for 98 it works but im still getting random crashes in the form of the game just freezing up:(
-
damn game went back today. thats for trying pestalence its appreciated. on the + side i picked up deltaforce BHD instead:)
