Title: Asia's ugly little sister gets her rework
Post by: anduril on March 19, 2003, 03:53:17 pm
Eclipse class.

Been sitting around cluttering up my build directory so I figure it's time to finish it and have her set sail.

And I do know that some of the textures are stretched oddly.  T'would be because they haven't been mapped yet.

That looks great! Like something just before the Surya.

I agree, it's not ugly at all, rather, it is fairly aesthetic.

Very nice! You make some cool TOS stuff.

BTW, I can't seem to find a download link for your Romulan V-1 on your site. Looks like a great ship I should have.
Am I missing something?

There are no download links at my site.  I removed them a bit back to concentrate on just taking screenshots.

There are things afoot for the Fringe however and the links will be restored soon.

Neat, that little red UFP pennant.  Things like that make a model as well as the mesh details.

Thats a neat little ship, not ugly at all. I really like the warp engines, convincing precurser to the standard TOS warp units. Great textures as usual, as Elook pointed out the UFP pennant is a nice little detail.

Ah, but I have not shown you the ...ummm...secondary hull that is hidden below.

You mean the green part under the saucer?

Nope, it would be the scary, half an old twist off beer can looking thing bolted to the bottom.

To exercise my once per year commitment to get in touch with my feminine side, may I say - "I dunno, I think it's kinda cute". Life is so easy for women. All things can be catagorised as either cute or not cute. And that's a cute little ship you got there. Whew, load off of my mind. I can now ignore little miss femininity for another year.

Anduril, I know it makes your models look cool, and it's pre-TOS, natch, but, bolts?   I'd've guessed that Starfleet even before Jimbo's time might've had a more "advanced" construction or fastening technology than, "bolts".  Don't tell, me, they are 1/4-20's or some size like that.

Boy, if some opposing navy invented an "unscrew gun" and fired it on a Starfleet starship, the hull plates come off!  And if they then make off with the beer... well it better be the usual undrinkable cheapies we all get on sale sometimes.  Oooh, but if one of cans explode in space near a cloaked ship...

Great job Anduril I was looking for a light cruiser to become a variant to
the texas class to fill in the ECL slot and this might fit the bill
