Title: Are people still playing Orion Pirates?

  Found a copy of OP for $9.99 at Fry's... Bought one for a friend and wanted to know if any OP servers running it.  Also is 2525 still the current patch? I thought it might make a nice B-day present.... Thanks!

Yes, 2525 is still the latest version.  As for how many people are playing I don't know.  I know there are commonly a few on GSA, but I haven't checked the D2 in a while.  Many intend to continue playing OP, but are waiting for the D2 issues to be fixed.

Well I've had my fill of patched SFC3, so it's time to get back to the real thing and it looks like OP will fill that slot for non-D2 play. A large number of people have OP even though they mostly play EAW. So when the patch is released "real soon" there could be a serious shift to OP, at least for GSA play.

  I'll install it and give it a whirl... Its been a long time since I fought an X-ship.... lol  Anyone knows a good server for OP to log into?

Yes, still playing.  

I would suggest that those of you who are interested in D2 OP play saunter over to the Dynaverse 2 forums real quick and take part in the recent OP poll started by Nomad.  SFCX is testing the waters to see what the community wants for us to put up a light campaign server.

We are working on putting up more OP D2 servers at this time.  Badlands will be up shortly -- according to Castrin (SFCX) it will include the OP Plus shiplist and the newest set of brand new missions from Nuclear Wessels -- the famous "Evil Dave" missions.  We are also working on other campaign ideas  that will go live within the next week or so hopefully.
