use the 2500-2538 patch method, not the 2500-2525-2538 method.. the single patch update is much cleaner.. although both patch procedures should work the same for an end result...
Try the single patch and see if this still happens...

I believe there was the talk of a latent bug that fires the same charged HP twice occassionally. (testings put it at 3~5 percent of the time). Just like what you describe. And it was never completely eradicated.
But my info is likely dated (somewhere around EAW2011b I think...)

Does not happen all the time. But more than 3-5 percent. I saw it three or four times in an hour, usually on the first shots of a battle. I'm not complaining too much about it, mind you...

I won't reinstall unless further problems make it necessary. I can live with double fire power on occasion.
