Dear all-
I found a nice Kazon Destroyer model on SFC Mod Directory (http://www.stcd.sgnonline.com/network/directoryban.htm), made by Redragon, but when I attempt to display it, it shows up white; no textures- the folder has textures and .bmps. I ran it through 3DMax twice...used the Taldren Model Tools.... still nothing. What gives? Any ideas are appreciated.... I am attempting to construct a little mod with an extra AI race or two, though the Kazon would be good cannon fodder:)

It's the size of the texture files. They need to be in increments of 64, 128, 256, 512 or 1024 on each side in order for SFC3 to display it. I've run into the same problem with his models before. Damn fine models though.

Try changing the resolution of the textures to 72?

what program should I go through to reduce texture size?

Paint Shop Pro 7.04 seems to work well for me.. others use Adobe Photo Shop... either program works well

the textures are in increments of 64.... and I cannot figure out how to change the resolution with Paint Shop.... cannot figure out why it wont display them.... could it have to do with the model?

Since I use Photoshop, I don't know how you'd do it in PSP. If you post a link to download the ship and it's textures, I'll give it a try.

Thank you Capt. Korah- I sent to your Yahoo addy an membership to my open group... its a good little place to transfer files from and to. I posted those files there. I couldnt find a way to alter the resolution in Paint Shop Pro; maybe its there, but I bet Photoshop, being a much heftier program, oughta be able to- thanks again.

there could be other problems with his textures. I'll just check them out myself.

Ok I think I fixed it. There was something wrong with the texture files, perhaps alpha channels or some other oft-unseen layer. Importing the texture files caused an error in my Photoshop, so I reworked them and saved them back with the same names. I posted the fixed file as "FixedDestroyer.zip" in your group. Let me know if you still have problems with it.

Thank you for your troubles. Speaking of which, do you think you could look over that SSD.zip? I could not figure out what the devil is wrong with the _brk model. It appears low on the horizon during play, but the main problem is it crashes the game when I destroy or selfdestruct it. Any ideas? It has hardpoints and such on the _brk model too, so that couldn't be it, could it? Thank you again, good Captain, for your time and attention.
