Title: Hey Dave, question about base assault missions....
Post by: Capt Jeff on May 16, 2003, 01:40:47 pm
Are your current OP assault missions still set up so that Base stations and battle stations are destroyable, but Startbases are not?  And, if so, that means in the server kit, I leave the destructable option turned on, and your script tells the server not to destroy the Starbase, or is it the other way around?

Thanks

Heya Jeff,

I think all the base/bats/sb assault missions currently allow destruction of the base, but I'm not sure whether the "destructable base" flag is supported on OP or not.

Jeff, do you know to set base DV boost to 0? It helps get lower flip ratio on hexes (.1 instead of .2). Of course, then bases don't boost DV on hexes, so it's a pick your poison kind of thing.

Nomad,  Base DV boost is in the Score.gf.  Just set them all to 0.  Keeps those hexes from screwing up by going beyond the max DV.

Hey Fluf, I wonder if that doesn't happen in OP. Might be worth an experiment to find out...

Yep,  I knew that....and as Fluf says, it keeps the hex a base is planted in from going above what the maximum DV is.
