  Sometimes when I look in the shipyard......

I feel like the 16 yr old looking to buy his first car....

And everything I really want is just out of reach....

When here comes the.. "Big sweaty salesman with a Big Smile on his face".....

"I got just the thing for you son"

"1 owner, never been thru a asteroid field, and only has 50,000,000 miles"....

"But Sir, its only an POL, I was sort of looking for a nice CLC".....

"How much you got to spend Son ?"

Puffing out his chest..."I got 5500"

Salesman..."Slaps the young man on the Back...come back when you got triple that Son and walks away laughing"

"Screw you Old Man, I'll go to the Orions or see Chuut...I'll get one...you wait and see !"

Nope, don't like it. The only ships that everybody should be able to get into are line ships. The superior variants should require a little bit of effort to get into.

I think Rear Admiral wa 150K on LB5 is that not enough PP?

What do you mean? That you have to be a rear admiral to fly the biggest ship? Let's just say some body makes Captain, what do they get?

Sadly no,your talking lifetime I doubt someone has 150k lifetime and current PP at the same time.

Heck the ISC EDN was 94k :o and it is a deathtrap worse then our other ones.
Note that the G-EDN was 18k,same weapons loadout as the ISC and has more power,looks fishy to me.

Karnak has a good pricing scale, which I roughly follow on my servers.

Code: [Select]
[Cost/Ship/ClassType]
SHUTTLE = 1.0
PF = 1.0
FREIGHTER = 1.0
FRIGATE = 1.8
DESTROYER = 2.0
WAR_DESTROYER = 3.5
LIGHT_CRUISER = 4.0
HEAVY_CRUISER = 6.0
NEW_HEAVY_CRUISER = 5.0
HEAVY_BATTLECRUISER = 15.0
CARRIER = 17.0
DREADNOUGHT = 22.0
BATTLESHIP = 26.0
LISTENING_POST = 8.0
BASE_STATION = 12.0
BATTLE_STATION = 18.0
STARBASE = 26.0
MONSTER = 1.0
PLANET = 1.0
SPECIAL = 1.0

Basically, cheap small ships and very expensive large ones.
- to calculate the PP: BPV * "Cost/Ship/ClassType" * MinimumBidFactor * "Cost/Difficulty"
where the MinimumBidFactor is usually set to 6 and the "Cost/Difficulty" is set to 1.0 for commodore
