I'm using Firefox, and Like It pretty much.

Firefox has had 10 million downloads so far from the official site. That does not include copies distributed by individuals such as myself and those included in other projects such as the OpenCD and various Linux distirbutions, so the actual number of users should be somewhat higher.
My browsers:
Firefox on the #1 Machine.
Mozilla on #2 but is almost never used for browsing.
Mozilla on #3 Machine.
E-Mail - Thunderbird.
I mainly keep the Mozilla around to edit my local homepage with all my links and E-Mail addresses on it.
The Open CD (http://theopencd.sunsite.dk/) is a useful location for open source software for windows machines. Version 2 just released. Includes Firefox and Thunderbird.

No problem. With the story just posted on Slashdot (http://slashdot.org) they may well be rather swamped with hits on the site today.
I added a Thunderbird link in my signature as well. Just in case anyone is interested.

Man after reading through that Open CD, I'm downloading It right now. Incredible Group they have there.
thanks again Nemesis for making us aware of this.

I tend to spread the word on things that I use like this. To keep from hi-jacking this thread further I started a new one for useful and free software. Link to thread. (http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/topic,163350078.0.html)

Take a look at what you could be seeing if you didn't use IE, compared to what IE displays.

It was just fine, then i logged in one day and whammo- pastel H#ll . Im going to to swich, as soon as i figure out how. :help: :)

I can't really vote on this one as I have IE 6 and Mozzilla Firefox .I use IE for e-mail and downloading and to give Firefox a break .I use Firefox as mostly a browser and find it is quicker for loading images and on gaming boards like these there are a lot of which IE is a little sluggish at but over all they are both good it just depends on what you are doing with them at the office we nothing but IE.

At 4.7MB Firefox does not even take long to download - even on dialup.
But take time between install and use to explore the configuration settings.
Bill Gate's nighmare before christmas.

I just switched to fire fox today and boy what a difference!!!!! Everything is showing up sharper with much better colour
The only problem i have had is the POS IE would not let me import my settings or passwords . I tyred 3 times and all i got was one of Microslops useless error reports. Stating they don't know what the problem is. ::)
I know what the problem is >:( Microslops true to form impediment, to any product that challenges their monoply >:( >:( >:(
Well anyway good riddance, to bad rubbish !! Now to find a good dependable OS. :)

I can't take a vote on this as I use both .I use Firefox for browsing and such but I use IE to make replies to my e-mail and to do downloads with. That seems to be the only browser that works with getright. There is away to speed up IE as I found out it is in the settings part of the where your cookies and cache or internet files are.
-
Grab the Flash Get addon for Firefox, and Get right and other three party Download programs will work fine Age.

Where's the poll asking how many of us didn't participate in this poll because we didn't want to get involved in another silly browser debate?
Heheheh.....

Open Getright program (gee hold on I have to look for myself again) Click Tools then Configuration. In the left pane expand the General tree then expand the Monitor subsection. Click the More Browsers and on the right side of the dialog box place a check mark in the option for Mozilla. In fact just to be on the safe side put a check mark in the option for Netscape as well. Make sure you are upgraded to Getright version 5.2b or else what I explained will not work. Hope this helps.

Internet Explorer 8 running here

With the latest XP update, Firefox seems to be quite glitchy on my computer, it has difficulties on Major League Baseballs site in particular. It seems to randomly crash on various sites, but since that last Firefox update (except for MLBs site which still glitches occasionally) it now only crashes when I close the browser.
That said, I do prefer Firefox over IE, but there are some sites that just require IE to load it properly.

Konqueror (http://www.konqueror.org/)
It seems to avoid the issues I have with both Firefox and IE at the moment. (Firefox suffers from javascript creeping into the codebase, and IE seems to only want to render the page once everthing on it is downloaded, which is rather frustrating, however disabling images and javascript in IE seems to achieve the behaviour I desire in a browser)

IE 7

I might give this a try as I am having the same issue with FF as you it loads slows and I am using Mozzila SeaMonkey atm and I get the same results.

Wow. A thread from 2004 gets resurrected.

Maybe its time for a new poll to see how things have changed.
