Not bad so far...I see some mesh errors around the deflector and the shuttlebay, I suggest you redraw those polies in a different manner than how they are triangulated ATM.
What's the current poly count? What modeling prog are you using?
-
current pc is 1580 quads
originally modeled in Milkshape 3D
modified in Wings3D
rendered in 3ds max demo
below is the original ms3d model

looks good :)

Wings3D is a good modeling program. :D
I suggest you go a little higher on mesh detail, since the model is only 1580 polies ;D

noob question:
since I dont own SFC and I havent really modelled for any games before what is an exceptable poly count for a ship in these games?
heres a type 9 shuttle I also did in MS3D
-
very nice work on that shuttle BTW
for large ships the normal poly count is about 5000-7000 polys for small ships like suttles about 500-800 polys is about right these numbers offer the best compatability with older systems you can build higher poly-count ships but you run the risk of people with older machines not being able to use them
PS. welcome to the group

Very nice work there Keep it up and thanks for sharing with us ;D
