Title: Particles to ponder.
Post by: Bonk on December 29, 2005, 10:45:20 am

Quantum Trickery: Testing Einstein's Strangest Theory (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/27/science/27eins.html?pagewanted=1&incamp=article_popular)

An interesting and readable summary of some now pretty old concepts. I can't help but think of the Anthropic Principle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropic_principle) as a step in the right direction when thinking on such subjects. The concept of matter contemplating itself absolutely fracks the mind...

Hoi Bonk,

First, after I read both links, I typed a massive response, looked at it before I posted, thought better and deleted it. Today I have a little more pause. Thanks for the links, good reads.

I'll try to paraphrase the post I didn't post.

Measuring is a fine activity, indeed, before you cut measure twice, however it is of little use when one wants to understand existance or understand how the mind and body function.

Take care

Roger that!

Since reading that I've watched a few Red Green episodes... To heck with measuring, just patch the holes with duct tape!  ;D

"Don't think, just do..." ;)  ;D
