While making the CVS I spent a lot of time staring at the cover of SFB module J2. Along with the CVS there's also some A20 ftrs. pictured (There must've been an SCS or NVH lurking off camera since the CVS never carried A20s ::) ). It's a bit hi-poly (790), but if used as intended (typically 4 or 8 only) it should still be OK.

Photons have a max range of 12
Can take 18 damage, and is max speed of 12
It is a double space fighter (heavy)

How would you convert those specs to SFC Orion Pirates is it possible to have a fighter with Photons? I ask because it would be nice to see it in the game doing what its supposed to do.

with ship edit you can have torpedo on fighter, but what is the ew?

EW Pod=Electronic Warfare pod=ECM/ECCM
I dont think this is used in SFC, nor are the chaff packs I think...

You know, EW!, as in a weapon that emits a smell to repel the enemy ships. Or, imagine... dumping the... ahem, waste material in front of a pursuing ship, and watch their forward shields take a hit with all that... uh, crap, impacting at high warp! :rofl:

I'm pretty sure that the SGO (Slave Girls of Orion) mods have A20's (and more SFB ftrs) in them. The specs have been watered down a bit to bring them into balance AFAIK. Check the D2 forums if you want to try them out. I know that Dizzy can supply them.
If you spec them out exactly (or as close as possible) to SFB, they are quite a powerfull ftr. The photons, phaser2, and 4spaces of drones can devastate any target, if deployed properly. It's add rack will chew up squadrons of other ftrs and drone waves pretty easily.
There's an A20FM in module J2 that ups the max speed to 30 as well as 2 more photon charges and can take 2 additional points of damage!
I'm glad a lot of you like it. I'll get some other ftrs. and some PFs done up in the not too distant future.
As stated, there are no EW pods or chaff in SFC, but the ftrs do have a +2 ECM bonus built in.

As Keeper of the SGO Mod, We've been using A10s for years. I've used A20s and the Heavy fighters for the other races screwing around but they haven't seen a server, yet . . . . ;)
