Hi..I'm back again with a new challenge to make a SFC game model based on a real model I built this time its this.....

I used the same name Silverfox as I did for the TMP era ship I designed and that was made by Mr Tricorder a while back..but I liked the name so I used it again.

Now this is a ship that needs doing.
-
indeed it does

It's also a BEAUTIFUL job of physical modeling!

I really like this design. Personally, I think that the struts should be longer. I know that the Burke has the nacelles mounted directly under the saucer, but I'm one of those who disagrees with that design too. Unless the Federation has subject races (like the Klingons) that it stations in the areas of the vessel that'd be contaminated by the radiation. This isn't a styling critique. The model's design looks great. More on the positives though, the impulse/shuttle area is beautifully done. All of the detailing on the bottom of the saucer is original and very nicely done too.
What class is this? It looks like a frigate, but it's armed like an light escort cruiser, possibly? (Lots of phasers.)

that a nice chip, look a bit like something wz made, don't remember the name but its a good ship :D

It seems Paramount didn't mind nacelles under the saucer- the Miranda and Nebula classes.

It's a light cruiser....I was trying to make it sort of a TOS era Centaur class type ship...

Not in TOS though. apparently the shielding got better in TMP, even for the Klingons. The BoP had internal warp and an all Klingon crew.
I didn't invent the idea of the nacelles being too close on the Burke-class, BTW. I just agree with it. :)
P.S. A matter of scale? What size is it? The same size saucer as a TOS Connie?

Heres some pics of her with my other model the Tiger....to give an ideal of size.

The models themselves use parts from the 1/1000 scale Polar Lights TOS Enterprise model kit.

this ship rocks.
-
Well if no one else is gonna work on her. I could give a go at it. Mind you though I can just build and map her someone else will have to give her a paint job.
