Title: ok you mac owners

So my wifes aunt gave my daughter an old Imac 350 it dosent have an airport card in it. Im wanting to try to hook it up to my wirless network any suggestions for a for the hard ware i could use for it? Also if i end up using an airport card  will it be compatable with  my exsisting network. Ty for any info regarding this.

I would say your best bet would be to get a D-link wireless ethernet bridge.  They are fairly easy to set up and will be easier and cheaper overall.  I forget what the exact model is you're looking for, though.

I'm pretty sure whatever you get will have to be external, and connected to the ethernet port since most companies don't make coms devices for USB for the Mac.  Also, have you tried to get your iMac apart?  I'll save you the trouble: you can't. 

I hope you can find something, but Apple set everything that can't run OS X on its "abandonware" list so any help you'll get won't be from them.
