As it says in the thread title..
Im going to stick with the science / medical ship idea but go a little smaller..
so throw all your ideas and suggestions in here.. it will be based on the u.s.s. raven seen in voyager
i already have the insignia badge thing and a name...
-
I like it already ;)
-
lol.. thank you sir... thats always a great start 8)
-
you should flip the bird so you see the top. Who wants to look at the bottom of bird?

I would remove the drop shadow and instead integrate the white outline around the birds wings... just my idear.

I'll bet you thought that you were just gonna slip the insignia on by? Nice try, but you won't be getting away with that around here. :P

lol... i noticed.. stupid insignia :)
-
i needed one, this time made my own raven .. New logo... about time to start the build then :D

I like this one, feels much better overall. the only crtis i might have are A) its rare for anything to stick outside the patch (it looks fine the way you have it, though most of the time it would be curved to follow the outline) and B) while i like the white outline, i might suggest to make the inner follow the top of the bird and the outer ring follow the bottom half with no lines crossing in the middle... i think it might look interesting (of course my suggestions are worth well nothing so don't feel forced to take them ;))

The front section of the hull would lend itself very well to a variation on the shape of the Sydney Class hull. It flashed at me as soon as the image loaded.
Something like this maybe...

jericho yur list is getting longer :P

Is "new" ever seen in a starship patch? I would figure a notice of new class is sent through out the fleet and the patch/hull becomes the standard defualt.
It's an awesome patch as is, I just think a version with the "new" in it is for pre-concept briefings for the admiralty, until implementation ect...
Have you done any other types?

I think you misunderstand the "new" It's "New Raven" like "New Orleans" not new "Raven"
-
still the new is a bit corny. Would Raven class Mrk II look better? After all they didn't called it New Constitution class. For that matter, was the original uss raven a raven class? If not you wouldn't need to add anything, just raven class. Or Marcus class, uss raven ncc-whatever-b
-
Blame the French and English I suppose, though I guess we could also get right on renaming NYC to York Mrk II City. ;)
-
lol..no solution works in all cases mr smart ass :P
-
Just yanking your chain a little. ;D
I will say I preferred it more in the first patch as one word "Newraven". At least I think it was one word.
-
Ah I see now... It just seemed odd since "New" mainly works for places. I can see someone naming a place Raven, but New Raven would definitely be a bit out of the ordinary. But not inconceivable... ;D
