humanoid race havent really figured out a name for them yet this ship is about the size of an Defiant class and nearly as agile. i still have to mesh in the weapons systems 2 forward pulse cannons, 2 forward torp launchers and rear phasers.

Looks familiar to me,but anyway, great ship. It's going to have some really good weaponry, but add a rear-firing photon launcher as well.

Here's one of the ones I know of.  Hopefully you can understand it.  I'm still having problems doing practically anything.

Thanks Centurus that was a little help but not quite what i was looking for. what i am looking for is how to make the aztek pattern itself and make it uniforn and stuff like that. oh and i am using Paint.net

I don't know if you can do it in paint or not. In photoshop or paintshop pro it's easy enough. You can DL trial versions of either program.

1st you would draw an aztec pattern like this (edit: actually, it needs to be rotated 90 degrees. Sorry.  :-[}:

Then, in photoshop, you use the commands "filter->distort->polar coordinates"
In PSP it's "effects->distortion effects->polar coordinates"

This is what you get:

I've uploaded hires versions of these 2 images if you want to use them.

I use a plug in for the polar effects, Paintshop Pro user here, called MuRa's Meister Polar transformer.
It allows you to things in arcs as well, and many more things very useful tool to have

GotAFarmYet?
Just did a google search and came up with dead links for the plugin you are using. It says that it was freeware. Do you have a link or could you upload it? I'd like to check it out.

Never mind, I found them. These filters should work in Irfanview as well.

Here's a link if anyone else is interested.
