first up is the new NASA robonaut (cleverly nicknamed 'R2' for short) is to "assist" on sts-133! yes, our little adorable droid is growing up and going into space ~sniff~ rad about it here:

next is some bad news for fans of the WISE (wide infrared survey explorer) satellite. it seems that it is heating up even in space. that is bad news because it needs to be super-cooled to work properly and its cooling system is running out of juice! this is particularly sad considering the awesome info coming from WISE. :( read about it here:
