Title: How do you raise the resolution in the Orion Pirates game?

I can't seem to get the resolution higher than 1280x1024. I'd like to set it to 1440x900 if possible. Is there a way to do this? I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not sure where else to ask this.

How did you get it that high in the first place?  I can only go 1024x780....

EzINI, a program made by the post-taldren patch makers, Khoromag Software. it lets you customize the INI file.

I don't think the program can handle anything bigger than 1280x1024, and I know it can't handle widescreen resolutions. Sorry mate.

I just go into the setup options in the Orion Pirates folder and click the 1280x1024 option.

You can manually edit the resolution it takes by going into either the registry or the ini file containing it....
I know that cause I did it and the game DOES support up to 1600x1200. Looks awesome.

in the root of any sfc.
open with notepad sfc.ini, also uncheck read only.

replace the number next to lowres=# to 1-6, 6 being 1600x1200 support.

You do need to be careful about the resolution as the UI doesn't change sizes, so you get to see more space but the UI can more difficult to use

increasing the resolution shouldn't be a problem in general, so getting over 1600x1200 could be done with a very simple addition of a few more modes.  But as noted the big problem is the way the UI is done, it does not stretch the image to keep it the same size in the higher resolutions.  It stays the same pixel size, so it will shrink away to nothing at the higher formats.  Give some time.
