Title: =/\= nuclear emergencies at japanese nuclear power stations, interenet bunkers
Post by: stoneyface on March 12, 2011, 06:40:53 pm
the first story is one that may affect all of us. currently there is state of "nuclear emergency" in japan because of the dangers of having a meltdown at two of japan's aging nuclear reactors. there is a story about that will hopefully answer some questions for you and alleviate some fears. just looking at this pic of possible global radiation levels if there is an incident are not encouraging, in fact they are "sh*t a brick" level reaction for me. (http://i.imgur.com/G7q7b.jpg) so read the article here: http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2011/03/11/earthquake-japan-nuclear-reactor.html (http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2011/03/11/earthquake-japan-nuclear-reactor.html)

tied into this was a story i found on some highly secretive and very secure and protected "internet bunkers". those server farms that are both secure, and protected, and also housing some important information. the questions around them are mainly can they survive Armageddon? read here: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/features/365875/the-emergency-internet-bunkers (http://www.pcpro.co.uk/features/365875/the-emergency-internet-bunkers)

Considering we dropped 2 nukes there in a manner which ejected nuclear material much higher into the atmosphere, I wouldn't put much stock in that graphic nor its prediction of 750 RADs to blanket the US.

Have to agree w/ Lord Saxon here.  Sounds like someone was watching the China Syndrome again.

Stoney and others, this is very informative story, way to large to post though.

i was very happy to hear numerous west coast scientists coming out today to explain why we are not in danger. the news does nothing but pump the death, danger, destruction going on and gets people all worried and riled up for their own means. it takes the scientists to explain away the worry and concern because the news are just trying to sell papers, air time, etc...  bastards
