Just a few things I've decided to start back up on ...
See below.
-
Welcome Back very nice work there ;D
-
Wow, sweet!
-
I want those Hydrans! :3
Great work, man :)
-
I'd like to see som more picks of the Hydrans. From this angle looks like Desty Nova's textures would make a good starting point for new textures
-
Those Hydrans look fantastic!
-
You had to go all cool kick ass theme damnit :) You forgot 1 thing a starbase? :) Damn cool I ,Mudd!
-
The only thing I forgot was to post the base station and the starbase in the pic.
(see below)
;)
-
Those cruiser hulls might need some variation in their width, they seem to on-the-straight-and-narrow I think.

;)
Sweet! :notworthy: :notworthy: Damn good work!

Great stuff more please sir ;D
-
hey look , mudd's slinging polies ;) looks good
-
Thanks for the kind words, guys. They are much appreciated.
I forgot how much I loved to build these things but also forgot how much I hate painting them too ... lol.
Small update below.
-
Very nice. I like the detail :D
-
If the Hydrans were mammilian, I'd think that the shape was purposeful. But seeing as they're not, it must be for psychological intimidation of mammilian enemies. ;)
Glad to see you dipping your toe back in the water as it were J, things have been kind of quiet but we're keeping a pulse going. :)
-
So, atheorhaven, are you saying the design isn't sufficiently 'alien' enough?

Nope, I'm saying that Hydrans building their ships to emasculate their male mammilian enemies with a way bigger part than they have is smart psychology. ;)
Nothing negative intended or implied at all... I like how these look so far, and think that the fleet is shaping up nicely. :D
-
I think those Hydrans would be enough to get me to reinstall the game. Great looking stuff.
-
ya know...
well Mudd, Mr. Oz
I still don't see any sketches in this thread, just models guess i am getting to old now in my day a drawing board was just that a place for drawing and sketching. Now adays its more of back to the monitor, because no one seems to draw anymore, well except atlom
-
But if I called this a drafting table, architect's table or a trestle board everyone would be mislead and confused.
After giving it some idle reflection, perhaps I should rename this thread something more like Harcourt Fenton Mudd's (not-so-one-of-a-kind) three-dimensional blackboard for Starfleet Command 2: Empires at War, (or, more simply put -- Mudd's SFC2:EaW 3DBB)
... That's what I get for thinking.
I used to draw a lot (sort of a prerequisite for being a tattoo artist), but I was more of a life drawing sort of guy -- portraits, animals and stuff. Being that my hands are not what they used to be, digital work appeals to me more these days. I still can draw, but I usually don't doodle spaceships any further than Flash Gordon rocket-ships or flying saucers.
But since you asked, here's about as close as I get these days.
(No, it's not exactly new or hand-drawn -- but it IS a drawing of sorts.)
-
that looks fantastic. very nicely drawn, will you be constructing it?
-
Nice; reminds me of an over grown Avenger class destroyer ;D

You going to build it?
-
Welcome back Mudd! It´s cool to see you´re still around.
Last week I was just browsing, and refound your old site. Sadly, your ships are no longer there. There is some place where we can still download them? :)
Kinddest regards,
Cassio

Sadly, no. Even more sadly, many of those old models were lost to me a few years ago. But on a brighter note, the stuff i've been working on for the last couple of months is lower in polycount, higher in detail, and all around just plain better than what I lost. I'll post pics when I'm able (typing on mobile now - interweb took a dive)
-
Pretty sda when the mobile phone is the better way to get connected than the house.
Had to switch back to cable because the DSL was so unreliable
-
Pretty good stuff in here Mudd :)

You were the author of that ancient Tiberius One shipyard, weren't you? The one with all those kickass blue Mirror Universe repaints? I miss those desperately, including the Refit Connie repaint. It's a miracle I still had the original connie repaint, but I remember some of the Starship museum craft in repaint as well.
-
Yeah, Tiberius Station One was me. Thanks for the kind words, though colored with nostalgia; they are appreciated all the same.
-
Bah, you're all too modest Mudd. Your Mirror universe paints were more distinctive and eye-catching than any other Mirror universe treatment to date, especially in light of the cavalcade of Shock-yellow claw paints thanks to Enterprise. You actually made schemes that were sinister but cool, and with genuine effort.
