Just did battle with the S.M.A.R.T. HDD Recovery virus. Thankfully had MalWareBytes already installed on computer and was able nip it that way. BUT....
During the process I noticed I had and was going to use System Restore to get back to a point last week. Found UnHide from bleepingcomputer.com and used it to bring back desktop icons and Start Menu/Programs lists. Then made mistake of deleting all temp files to clear the virus. Went back to System Restore and noticed the System Restore points are all gone.
Does anyone know where the System restore restore points are saved so I can undelete them? Or is there a better way to recover them?

System restore points are stored in a hidden folder.
If they are deleted, then unfortunately you might be SOOL.

Concur, In my experience it is 99% impossible to undelete system restore points- even with experience, skill, and expensive tools.
