FoaS_XC never released the full compliment of his fine ships to the community. If I recall correctly from a past communication with him, he may have had a computer crash that resulted in losing some of the ships in the fleets shown here.

Been to the sight as i noted in the OP, I'm hoping to at least find some of the Kzinti. I can Id most of the base models used in the Federation and Klingon fleets and If needed theirs enough ships on the sight to rebuild the textures. But I only have 5 pics as reference for recovering the Kzinti. Can you at least give me an Idea who made the base models or where they FoaS originals?

The Kzinti were FoaS_XC designs.
Maybe FoaS_XC will release some of his newer models.
He did some excellent untextured TMP Fed/Adversary ships for Tabletop Simulator over on STEAM I'd love to see him convert to SFC:OP like Feds with deflectors in the saucers like the Fed Abbe Class Destroyer...

If you click on the picture of the ship you want, it brings you to a page with the requested ship on it. Click the yellow "Game Model" word and it will download. I just d/l the FoaS_XC Excelsior to test this out. Worked fine for me.
If you run into problems check with Bernard Guinard here, he is the resident ship historian/collector here.

Found some models on steam and want to post them here and would like others to double check my readme. All models where post by FoaS and have no skins so I'm guessing based on experience on who made a lot of them.

Getting the steam Gorn ships textured and working out the best combo of parts from the Thu11 model and the FoaS versions.
@FireSoul the gorn ships in 4.1.1 are all Thu11 models based on SFB hulls right?

Added the FoaS version of the original Thu11 mesh I think its supposed to be a Medium cruiser.

This might sound like a dumb question but is there an app to parse the ship list text file so that you can find the info on the different ships for modeling purposes?

Got a little burnt out on the Gorn so I decided to take a crack at the one FoaS Kzinti model I had without textures but had a pic of, the Bloodclaw

One thing FOAS would do was 'bake' the textures. basically, utilize the rendering software to add shadows according to the lighting of the scene and then produce a corresponding texture file.

besides blender and max what other programs would you use for that?

As i recall you'll need a decent UV unwrapper - basically you'll make a bunch of textures, then bake them into one sheet. saves performance by reducing texture files, adds detail from baked in lighting effects, helps get pixel density consistant accross the mesh (i.e uniform mapping). I believe there are plugins for blender and a quick google showed some tuts out there for the process

Baking in blender isn't terribly hard but mastering the materials is something I'm still working on and I really need a bigger Ryzen my Ryzen 3 gen 3 struggles even with an 8 gig card on a 470 board with 32gig ram. I guess I'm going to need patients. This also implies that High poly versions might exist.

I don't believe he used hi poly versions - I recall he used normal maps to add detail by actually modifying the underlying mesh. so certain details could be added and baked in w/o having to go high poly.
On second thought... he may have created hi-poly versions... and baked normal maps... but it has been a while since I discussed his workflow with him (10 years I think)

I know the feeling tiring to recreate panel patterns and shaders from memory of convos more then a decade old is a real pain

Adam already pointed me at the Ship edit program. I've been using that to read the OP+ file

I'm looking fort someone to HP and export the models for SFC, EAW, OP, and 3 I lack the experience to know for sure if I have it right before release and currently have no way to test them in game.

this project is not dead I just been dealing with some real life health issues and a commission for a youtuber Fans of Venomgeek media should keep there eyes open for an episode faturing a revamp of a Romulan FASA battleship. In the mean time SNW finally added a TOS ship we didnt already have. Any thoughts?

maybe. all things considered its a unique more so than other kitbashes they have done.
On another note FoaS_XC's websight has been down for account suspension for a couple of weeks now. Any one got any info on whats going on?

OK trying to setup the Nova for SFC and have no idea how to HP it. The Fasa to SFC mod doesn't have a ship list file so I dont know what the HPs in the model are in fact there's no documentation in the mod at all outside of who made each ship. Any advice?

Ok this is the Test exports for the Imperial hawk and Nova. Note they use the same texture file and are currently setup to replace stock ships i think. I need practical feedback on the following
1 are they HPed right?
2 are there any performance issues with the high res texture?
3 any other ways to improve the mod experiance

I have to sadly report that my mother board has died and it's currently looking like it may be 3 or 4 months before I can afford another one. This will of course negatively impact the release schedule for those models that I have completed which is particularly saddening since I was finally able to generate functional mods that were working in game. I will post any further updates as soon as I have something for you guys but will make every attempt to find a way to release the models if it becomes impossible for me to complete the mods as functional in game ships.

Fu further diagnostics have indicated that it is my power supply not my motherboard that is fried and while this means good things from a data from a price standpoint it's a difference without a distinction though the power supplies might be easier to come by than the older motherboards so there's that and I'm hoping that they'll come down a little more over the holiday weekend season and I'll be able to round something up but barring that it'll be tax time before I can move on this list I find something sitting on the side of the road I can scavenge

I have a bunch of fighter and bomber models ready for release but I'm having trouble stating them in the Fighter text document. How do I setup dogfight drones and type III drones? also does SFC have K-torps?
