I'd feel Dirty If I wasn't going to be making so much...
« on: March 10, 2004, 07:11:05 pm »
I just got a call From a company called Satin ENT. I had applied awhile back with a blanket resume about 6 months ago, and to make along story short, I got hired tonight at $29.27 an hour for 20 hours a week just to right, and help do tech Stuff for there Magizines.

It will be a small column, And I'm a bit surprised at the hourly wage as apposed to the Article rate, But I guess, they will track my research on such things.

anyway, I'm a happy camper right now.

Awesome news brother. Congrats.

BTW, I mentioned to my mother-in-law about the new addition
to your household and she made the baby a quilt/pillow. It's like
a regular quilt but you fold it up a certain way and it becomes
a pillow. She might have another surprise for the baby if she
can find the material for it. If you've seen her sewing room you'd
understand what a lost cause this may be.

It was out in Wesern OK, around Camargo/ Sealing. But man to do tec Writting, I feel abit over my head, However, I started my first piece on PC safety, and the overlooked use of Spyware Prevention.

Oh well, Here goes nothing.

You can do it. I was a writer training developer instructor at the Target Acquisition School. Talk about overwhelming. But be slow and careful, ask other people in the field you write for, get other people to proof read it. After a while you don't even see your own errors but they will be glaringly obvious to others. Sometimes just watching someone read and looking over thier shoulder you refresh your ability to edit yourself. Do the above without getting snared in any office politics or intrigue.

I'd be very interested in knowing more about this company because I can't find any record of a Satin ENT listed in that area you mentioned, Stephen. They apparently aren't listed with any chamber of commerce in Oklahoma and have no telephone listing. Strange, no?

Looks at paperwork again...

Did I say $29.27, I meant to say $39.27 Or roughly 4785.00 ? week working part time.

Congrats Stephen, just be sure to use spell check, many people are very particular about that kind of stuff, ESPECIALLY MAGAZINES!

Thanks Adam, and Jerry, I feel humbled actually, and abit scared too be honest. I only was an editor for a very small area here in OK once, and well, I also was the Photographer, Local sports writer, etc.

I just got a call From a company called Satin ENT. I had applied awhile back with a blanket resume about 6 months ago, and to make along story short, I got hired tonight at $29.27 an hour for 20 hours a week just to right, and help do tech Stuff for there Magizines.

It will be a small column, And I'm a bit surprised at the hourly wage as apposed to the Article rate, But I guess, they will track my research on such things.

anyway, I'm a happy camper right now.

Stephen

See Stephen, good things happen all at once, I get a job on the 1st, you get your job now. Man oh man these are some happy times. Well, I am off to the coffee shop to kick it with a friend so.... Ill chat with you all later.

Wow.  Good news to hear, Stephan!  That's wonderful.  I've been extremely busy over the last few weeks or I would've replied earlier.

Cool, you'll write things that may be in Stuff, I'll drool over the babes in Stuff, and my wife can shake her head and go why me?
