Damn!  Thanks J'inn!  Just realized that for the pirate cartels we could build in a suite of black market scenarios: in-mission you could buy/sell troops, bombs, drones, parts, etc etc.   Each cartel would have its own buy/sell prices for each commodity, with some random fluctuation, so you could actually turn a handsome profit if you can find a decent trade route (thinking kinda Freelancer style)

I'm thinking "Bloodsucking Bastard Cartel"

or "Bastards With Really Big Teeth Cartel"

or"Jinn's Bastard Cartel"

or just about anything with "bastard" in it, people will get the picture! ;D
