EAW CD Key problem. What do I do now??

I am apparently having the same problem as everyone else. Purchased SFC II at KB Toy's and installed it and cannot make the CD Key work. Can anyone help?

I am having the exact same problem. I bought SFC 2 EAW at a KB Toys today. Got it home and it wont accept the CD Key on the Jewel Case. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I got this game today for 9 bucks. I thought I had struck gold, because I have been looking for
SFC 3 for a very long time and can't get one for less than $100.

pm bonk he can hook you up after he finds out the info  he needs. I suggest you  find a copy of op you can get it for about the same amount of money. ebay still seems to have a few. Op is eaw in spades.more ships  playable pirates and much more after dl a few things here. You struck gold all right but with op you strike the motherload either way  I hope you get your game up and running  With all these new people getting eaw i pulled out my copy and am gonna put it back on the hdd today. I look foward to meating  somany new people.

If you have a 20 character key:

Edit the shortcut to the game to point to Starfleet2.exe and make sure the correct "Start In" folder is referenced in the shortcut properties. You will then be able to input your key.

If you have a 16 character key:

same problem as everyone it seems. Bought SFC II and Orion Pirates at Sam's recently. Both have 16 digit cd keys and neither work. Would love to play them but this sucks. Get a pinging sound when I hit the keys but no characters show on screen. Then am told that cd key is invalid. Help please.

Yes hello everyone I'm AngryAndorian, proud owner of a new copy of Star Trek Starfleet Command II Empires at War (try saying that 5 times fast). I just finish buying the game from amazon.com. What do you think are the chances that I have a bad cd key considering that amazon gets most its games from toys'r'us online. One part of me says 80-90% chance, while the other says everything's gonna be fine. I won't know until the game comes which won't be until mid-September, so Bonk keep me in your thoughts and I applaud you for helping people out.

i have proof of perchance. and also another game coming that i expect will have same problem.... so i might need a cd key for that too... i have proof of perchace for both.

We too are victims of the invalid key from SAM's...   My buddy and I bought 2 copies to be able to play each other and are now stuck in space dock.. Please let me know what to do to enable our copies so we might join in the fun.

I am again accepting EAW CD key approval requests. PM me if you have an invalid key for a legitimate copy of EAW.

I know it has been a while but I got my copy last fall at a KB outlet and of course I am in the same boat, I sent a PM and hopefully I will get some help and can finally see this software running on my box, thanks guys!!

Hello Everyone. I seem to be a year behind!
I bought this game years ago & when I couldn't get it to work I moved on to other things. A few months later I bought it again (forgetting that I already had it). Just the other day I finished Wing Commander Prophecy (It took me years!) I was ready to reinstall one of my older games that I never finished when I found this one that I never even started!

Lucky for me I have all the original release CD's with keys.  Glad you guys are still showing up.  Feel sorry for those that don't have the know how to look for this site.  A buddy of mine finally picked up OP a while back and he has had a blast with it.

Current news is I am looking for someone with code experience to possibly help finish ShipEdit for the current versions of OP and EAW.  For all those new folks, SE is the easiest and best way to modify your shiplist files.

I bought the game a few years ago; I believe the source was Chips And Bits. 

The key on the CD case did not work of course, so I sent mail to Taldren ( obviously still in business at the time ) and they sent me the correct code.

I would not fault KB Toys or any of the other sellers that the codes are wrong; they do have responsibility to try to stop selling the game ONCE they know the codes are bad.  It's Taldren's ( or Interplay's ) fault that faulty codes were sent.

Haven't played the game in a while; finished the Fed campaign then moved on to other entertainment.

Never got around to buying Orion Pirates.

Well I do hate to sound a like a broken record, but seeing as I am a new user to this forum, I to have to say that I only found it because I brought the game and having the same problems as everyone else.  although, I don't know who the OP's are... I guess I'll keep reading the other posts, but just to make sure we're all on the same page... I purchased Empires At War, and am unable to play the game because the CD key is in error.  Got it at Sam's club.  The game is at home, where my internet connection has been stopped for "troubleshooting" I hate AT&T sometimes, but I digress....
I can't prove that I own it yet, so I'll send my screen shot when I get back to work with it.

I must admit that I'm amazed that this topic is still active, I bought eaw more than two years ago, ran into this problem and gave up, its been sitting on my self since then, now there is hope I will do as the others have and I can't wait to play it.
