is this meant to be the Constalation class? I always hated that ship, but will be interested on how this one turns out.

Glad to see you back Sandman.  I like a lot of your models and am very glad to see you doing models again based on the EAS site (those are some of my favorite Star Trek ships).

Hey, do you have a website where I can download your models?  I seem to have lost your web link assuming you had one in the past.

Cool! I actually like the Constellation. (Call me strange, because I like the Ent. B as well. ;D)

Nice to see you back, man. I've had some back problems in my time. Although, nothing as bad as you do, evidently. So, I can "feel your pain".

First of all Im glad your back is a little better. Back problems really suck I know...

Overall I like this design. My only quibble regarding the design is that the warp pylons, esp the two vertical ones, seem to need some beefing up. a little too weak looking. Otherwise

Thanx guys!! ;D

Yeah, the pylons need a little work as well as the bridge module...too "triangley". :P Also thinking of adding a couple of dual torp launchers on the cross bars. ;)

M357, I used to have a site, but couldn't afford it so... :( I am a member of Outalance and have some space there, just need to figure it out and u/l my stuff. ;)

I actually like this ship MORE then the Cheyenne.   ;D

Nice work so far Sandman.  I do agree with you about the Bridge, I don't think its suppose to be that "Triangly".  But I know from experience with my own models how difficult it can be the shape things the right way you want them to be.

Umm could be the lighting. Appearance might (or might not:)) be improved if Sman where to make the front of the triangle more rounded than the other two, and stretch it out a bit. just an idea...

I agree with Lord Schtupp about the triangle, but I've noticed in my own models that things tend to get asymetrical if you're not careful.  There's one WIP (Yamato class) that I've practically abandoned because the symetry got so bad.  I'll get back to it and fix it eventually.

Hey "Sandman"

looks good sir ..  the only thing that needs attention are the warp nacell pylons.  Me thinks they are still a little small for such a fine design as what you have so far.  The front profile can still be thin ..  but they still need to be "beffed up" just a tad to provide proper support.

Other wise ...

looks good  !

I'm not sure about that OlBuzzard, I think Sand might have it pretty close to the original specs, but I do think he needs to add more Z-axis width to the pylons.  Was this what you where referring too?

Hey Sand, are you going to redesign the Aft section of the ship?  It seems a tad small compared to the original specs.

OK, well, have most of the 2ndary and the struts mapped, I'll post some pics later.

I just noticed something...there were no impulse engines on the drawing, and when I made my alterations I forgot to add. Where would you put them?

Try Ent B style to the outside of the narcelles on the back of the saucer. Or on the back of the warp pylons.

I say have the Deflector imbedded in the front of the saucer section kinda like how the Enterprise-D has a small deflector grid inbedded in its saucer section, used when the Saucer seperates away from the Battle section at warp speeds.

As for Impulse engines, I didn't notice that before Sand.  The original sketches don't seem to show any type of Impulse system.  I say if your going to add impulse engines, they should be centerlined and not on the Pylons.

Well, the deflector system is like on the Constellation, uses other systems to achieve the same result.

Been thinking of putting the impulse on the rear of the 2ndary...what do you think?

If you do the "center line" thingy ...  I would put it on the primary hull.  If you decided to put it on the secondary ..  hmmmm  well I think close to the secondary ..  but still on the pylons.

Either one of the two ...

Out side of that ....  your choice !

Hey Sand, I was looking over the schematics of the ship from EAS and I think the sketches do indicate a type of deflector.  Its really small, but on the cross section of the bottom Pylon, there seems to be a tiny light blue are that might indicate a small Deflector emitter.

I took a look as well and it does appear the lower saucer dome is blue and could very possibly be the deflector, I can also see the area Magnum is referring to as well. And it appears as if in the center of the Top Pylon crossbar there's a photon launchers as well.
