Same old question, i hope not, same old answer ?

OK here is the thing, I've read all the posts concerning problems connecting to the Dynaverse 3 server. Made all the modifications concerning it, still have the same old problems.

It seems I'm connected thru NAT and cant seem to pass the DirectPlay part. I've got all the firewalls down, I've modified the sfc.ini file so that my IP address is under the META part. But since I'm behind a NAT my outside address changes each time i connect to the internet.

Now is there a way to fix this or should i use the CD as a new coaster.

I'm connected with a fast DSL and it seems the damn thing serves as a router as well the model is a SpeedStream 5200-Series
Now I've got an option for this thing called bridge ? will that fix the problem or i shouldn't touch it.

Does your router have port range forwarding or DMZ capability?

Can you configure your lan statically? Do you know what that means?

http://subscriber.communications.siemens.com/subscriber_networks/5100.shtml <-- You're manufacturer's website - note the absence of a proper manual. Did your ISP provide you with a full manual and complete access to the router?

You using the USB or ethernet connection? I highly reccomend using the ethernet connection.

Some hits on a google search:

What SFC3 patch you running? (there is weirdness associated with this... that I am not familiar with)

Is activision offering support for this product still or are they too busy with nude beach volleyball and the like?  ;)
