I just bought a few kits from federation models. I'm still not ready to start building yet, but I hope to star this or start working on the enterprise refit, soon.

I openned it last night and the connecting dorsal piece is solid and kind of narrow at 1/100 scale. I would really like to drill a hole though the dorsal to run wires for lighting. I had thought before it arrived that I could run the wiring into the cargo cylinder and have the circuit board and batteries in there and just take off the back cap when ever I wanted the lights on, but now I don't know.
