I think it would work better if you put the nacelles back in their traditional position and make the neck narrower.  It would look like less of a kitbash if it were more like a traditional Constitution modified to serve as a carrier.  We need a good TMP Coronado to go with Khaliban's Enterprise (and Adonis' Excelsior, assuming it ever gets released).

GAFY?, Mackie,KF,myself and a few others have all done the traditional Connie carriers, just surf Battleclinic and you'll find them all, besides it was a request based on this schematic  ;) .........

The shame of it was that Mark never followed up with Bow and Aft views of his shuttle carriers as well as cross-sections.
He had a great opportunity there I would have enjoyed picking up the follow up material to the comparison chart.

Agreed, it's hard sometimes to figure out what's actually there in the missing views  :(

By all means, you are not nuts, MP. I totally agree with you. I really don't know why Mark Wilson felt the need to create a new "trapeziod" nav deflector, but he says it's something to do with projecting or extending the deflector beam along the flightpath of the auxiliary craft., and the curve at the top is necessary and that's why the torp launcher had to be shifted to under the secondary hull.

I'll type in what the schematics actually say when I get home, just for completeness' sake. But I do think that a standard nav deflector, or even better, the one from the Belknap class, should have been used. Go figure.

That said, he obviously put in a lot of work to these schematics and I feel bound to honour that effort by matching it up. I'll be keeping my own Belknap deflector, but I think his plans do make more sense with no forward shuttlebay.

Look at it this way: If the entire length of the secondary hull is a hanger, where does the linear intermix shafts/warp core go? It couldbe done, like the turbolift shafts we see in the TMP Enterprise's hanger bay, but it would obstruct the flight deck.

In the neck since there's no torp room there  :P

That would make for a pretty short-ranged ship... according to my resources, that's what the destroyer classes use. Could be done though, I suppose.

Hate to be a pest, Athorehaven, but could you also rework the registry for my ship too, please? I can't seem to get it right with PSP 7. I've got the same saucer section as MP's ship.

I'd like to request the USS Kuznetsov NCC-2266.

Thanks if you can, Oh well if you can't. Easy come, easy go.

Oh hey, worry not Atheor. I'm just well pleased you could do them for me at all. Again, many thanks!

MP, she's looking good! I'd have liked to try putting the shuttlebays in a texures, but kinda warped the hull to make the general to much for them to get put on straight. Still can't use LithUnwrap... *sigh*

Then just make a new secondary hull. Practice is a great learning tool.  ;)
