I had similar problem, works after I tried this (if you use router, if not this will not help):

Note: You can place the following line in your SFC.ini file at the end under the META section. If you're using Network Address Translation (most people behind routers are) then it will greatly speed up the DirectPlay Test as it will check your external IP address first. This will keep you from having to update your IP address in the ini file, since most people addresses are dynamically assigned by the ISP and can change anytime.

Hey Suomela, I certainly appreciate your help being able to log into the dynaverse again. I put that "BehindNAT=1" line in my sfc.ini file and it works great. Thanks a million.

Ok, you folks know I am not the sharpes knife in the box regarding this changing settinsgs stuff.

How do you open the sfc.ini file?

Once located, right click and choose Open with... then choose notepad or wordpad when given the chance. It may pop up with select a program to open this file.

Be careful what you change. You'll then be prompted as to whether you wish to save your changes. Simply select "Yes".

Sorry ravok serverwasnt yanked. Just a series of bad luck. As soon as d3 was up my router decided to go kaplooey and since i work 12 hour shifts and am gone 15hours from home total I had to wait till my day off to get a new router. Needless to say after three new routers I got one working and dynaverseis back up again. Once again I do apologize but sometimes luck just throws you a joker.

I was wondering where the damm servers were as I just reinstalled my game as I fancied some retro gaming.

OK.. the first thing you are going to have to do is patch your out of box game to v534_b which can be found in the Dynaverse 3 section of this board.

The second thing you are going to need is the Directory server fix located at

ftp://ftp.dynaverse.net/sfc3/Patches/sfc3_directory_server_updater.exe

Make sure you patch first, then run the updater.

After that you can add whichever mod you want and play your heart out.
