Yes, unless it turns out the coalition need pilots in which case I'm willing to switch over... was planning on flying Klingon for SG8, but it was more to get to meet and fly with guys I normally only trade phaser fire with.. the campaign wasn't my first nor only motivation  :police:

I'm going to be there and already requested permission..

Tonight I am going to install XP for Dual boot on Vista..

Many say it can not be done.. however I found a guide that resolves any issues and will work correctly.. I hope.. that is why I am backing up my HDD right now..

Hopefully after tonight I will have Vista 64 bit as the primary OS with the option to Dual boot to XP Pro Media Center Edition 2005

I will be on the D2 without any lag come hell or high water..

I made a post in the Engineering Forum with a document file download that describes the entire process.. however you have to have both the XP and Vista install disks to accomplish this trick..

I just so happen to have both at my disposal.. so I will be able to play full speed ahead

Dual boot is working just fine so far.. I am keeping a log in the Engineering section..

Install went fine with 0 loss of files.

OK.. just installed OP in XP.. installed OP Enhancement Package v5.2 (coming soon, only had the updated scripts in it, if you have The Forge scripts installed, then you have v5.2 already) and it works perfectly for D2..

No issues in XP as of yet.. I did have to install all the device drivers for my system as my components are a lot newer than when XP MCE 2K5 came out.. but I just used Vista to DL the XP drivers, copied to the XP drive in the Documents folder, and restarted in XP, and loaded drivers.. NP at all.. system is zipping alone without a single issue so far.. but I am going to stress it for a week or 2 to confirm stability.

Vista users only have to get an XP install disk (preferrably Pro edition) and follow the guide and they can keep Vista on their systems and all their information and programs, and still install XP and it will work just fine...

I do recommend to not share program Files folders due to the way the Vista security is set up.. so that means install the software you want for XP in the XP environment, and Vista in Vista.. don't cross drives.

Hope this helps some Vista users out. This means that we can get some great pilots back on here if they still have an old XP install disk.

Yes, I did find my OP cd. But I am losing interest in OP. I may show up. No guarantees though.
