Smeg!  Does that mean it's gone down again?

I think the DB should be wiped and the server restarted. Its not like it is a major campaign.. just a warm up for ATOK4.

Forge is down.

hmmhu, was just going to give it another shot since it is snowing out so doing a set of brakes is out for the day, just don't feel like getting all sloppy from slush in May.  Just not rght, darn global warming.

Might check back on the Forge later, has been fun the little I have been able to get on it.(pretty much)

Silly question but does a data base cleaning mean I've lost my ship?

Cleaning the DB, you ship is still intact.. but SFHQ and I are of the opinion that the Data Base is corrupt, and as such, the server will probably need to start over from scratch. We need to edit some settings to kill the AI generation on server start, that should help things remain smooth.

I don't mind.  It would give me a chance to get back into a ship I really enjoyed.

Are there any tips for players that we could use to aid in maintaining future server stability?

Has anyone heard from Bonk? He hasn't been around since May 1st and he usually checks in every day. I hope everything is alright with him.

One of the biggest things is never ever forefit missions nor Alt-F4 out. this leaves the AI dead but still remaining in SQL database taking up space. The more dead AI there is the larger the IDs get and the more resources the Sever will take to run the Forge.

Bonk is OK, however he is having some rough times in RL
Starfleet Headquarters out.

Fleet Commodore, XenoCorp, ISC Fleet.
