did I do good?
« on: September 21, 2009, 06:36:42 pm »
Was at my local half price books and about fainted, I found two programs for sale that ive wanted.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 - I paid 12 dollars + tax

3ds Max9 - I paid 30 dollars, opened box, no serial number but sent recipt to autodesk tech support and about an hour ago got a new serial number in my email.

So how did I come out on this?

Great deals! I'm really surprised to hear that you got a new serial from Autodesk. I was under the understanding that licenses for Max were not transferable.

they said over the phone it isnt, but I read the EULA before asking for serial key, I was not informed in it that the software is non transferable and there is no clause I could find about it. Also they asked why I needed the software ect via email, simply put I told them im an amature modler just getting my feet wet, and I have no commerical goals, that may have helped also. But without a clause in the EULA saying non transferable at least none I could find, I kinda had them over a barrel there. Quite honestly here if they had refused id simply have cracked my leagal copy
