a seminar at cern yesterday indicated that the LHC crew are getting close to higgs. they are zeroing in at around the 126 Gev range. this is super exciting for me as a fan of quantum physics/mechanics. this information has the possibility to change everything. read here: http://public.web.cern.ch/public/

a new camera developed at MIT is amazing. it can capture a trillion frames per second. that is so fast it can see light move, it can see photons move across a field. you are literally seeing the speed of light! read here: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/13/science/speed-of-light-lingers-in-face-of-mit-media-lab-camera.html?_r=3&pagewanted=all1
