Hello all its been a while. Just stopping in to say hello and wishing everyone well. If anyone is playing World of tanks Let me know. that's where u can find me nowadays. Hit me up if u do play.

Don't know if hes still here or not but I do miss tractoring Sears and Kurok into things

I used to play regularly but that dropped to almost nothing when I got into the World of Warships alpha. To get back into it I will need to look like a seal clubber and play the heck out of my low tier tanks, I will be effectively starting over.

I'm just starting out in World of Warships, very good "dumb" game. Chuut, Mog, and a few others are as well.

I miss SFC more than I miss young poon.

Yes it is an arcade game but it does do what it is trying to do rather well with no unnecessary fluff that actually gets in the way of playing. I have hooked up with Chuut and Toten a few times in WoWS.

Agreed, Warships is very good, not SFC, but does have an SFC-like feel to it imo.

The community is kinda dead and moved on to the 3rd version "Red Dragon"... but it was a 3.99 download from Steam.....well worth 4 bucks...and I love the smell of naphalm in the morning.....hehe...

Coop is v ai - it's all you can play at first. It's 7 players v matching ai ships.

Well that sucks.....I'm no game god but I at least try to show up prepared to play by knowing the basic controls.....that I learned in skirmish mode.....LOL

Coop is a good and the suggested place to start and those that play coop a lot are pretty forgiving of mistakes. Aslain's Mod Pack has a training room enabler which can be against bots, humans, or a mix but you have to get the humans to come to your room. You pay for ammo and repairs in the training room though and there is no income which is why most just use coop for practice and to get the feel for a new ship.

Well I tried jumping into some co-op......but the game is stuttering and laggy as hell....cant even play it....could barely turn away from the enemy and it started locking up.........I'm either way under spec of my settings are way off.......cant even play it like this.

If your graphics card is more than a couple of years old, it's not likely good enough to run at normal settings. Turn the graphics settings down to minimum and you should stop locking up.

The system requirements are not that steep, WG sets them for the Russian market which generally doesn't have systems that are as good as the average here. There is an issue with lag but do as Tobin suggests and turn everything down and then try bumping them up.

by rechecking my own advice i must admit that under training are no tutorial missions,..however in a recent poll they made they explicitly asked me if i had played the tutorial mission, which i did not
but from then on went in the assumption there would be one,,somewhere hidden in the guts of the game.

At this point in time coop = tutorial but it is easy to learn bad habits there too. There are quite a few excellent videos out there with game play hints and the best are from iChase. https://www.youtube.com/user/ichasegaming
