New machine, get an error in sfc3 on it! plz help guys!

i get this error when launching a mission, in campaign, when i hit ready (in mission breifing screen), or in single player skirmis...crash to desktop and this

Does it help if you skip the intro video's (by renaming them), and have you DL'ed the necessary updates/service packs for your new PC.

read this thread. It's your video drivers. Yank the drivers out, don't try to fix them. Then reinstall them from your orignal disk.

these are the original drivers (machines 3 days old)  ill try to update them when i get broadband in my room...but untill then, any suggestions?

If you read the link in Hooch's post what you have to do is:
Download Windows updates - particularly the Service Packs. This will also include DirectX8.1.
Apply any patches to SFC.
Download update for your Internet Connection.

DO NOT update the drivers for the Video Card.
If you have the problem with this arrangement, then download the updated drivers (make sure they are for XP) for the video.

Try that.
